Troop Leadership:

The adult volunteers at a Troop are there to train and guide the youth leaders to be able to lead their Troop.

One of the main goals of the Scouting BSA program is to allow the youth to “run” their own program. The adults are there to help and supplement this leadership as needed. Not to run it for them. They are also ultimately responsible for the safety of all meetings and outings.

The Adult committee is the group that manages the “business” of the unit including booking sites that the scouts want to camp out and managing the advancement tracking and fundraising.
